Eco-friendly Beauty Products - Priti NYC #review

Bio nails? Yes, eco-friendly nail polish do exist! These nail polishes from Priti Polish USA are non-toxic, therefore better for the environment  This Christmas present of mine made me realise how bad non-eco-friendly nail polishes are. So it's time for a change! Or not?
Priti Polish founded by Kim D'Amato. They made custom nail colors for brands like G-Star, Isaac Mizrahi (also known from Project Runway), Tommy Hilfiger and many more!

On their site they claim the following things: 

 "The luxury polishes are fast drying, chip resistant, contain a UV inhibitor, and are extremely durable and glossy. "

Let's see if that's true! 

One layer of 330, Flower of Spring (Not edited)

First things first: What do I think of the casing? It really looks plain on the outside. It's very similar to the ones I used to buy from the local drugstores like Etos and Kruidvat. And God, why did they use comic sans. It looks very unprofessional using this font.Out of all thousands fonts, why comic sans?! The brush isn't looking good as well, but I can handle it. Summarized... I won't buy it because of the looks! However what's inside is the most important!

033, Flower of Spring (Not edited)

 This colour looks a lot brighter then in real life. They aren't as glossy they said on the site, however the semi-matte look looks very different in a good way. Huge plus: It already gives full coverage after applying one coat! However if you apply a second coat the color will become a bit darker. So I think it's nicer to only apply one coat. This nail polish can look a bit like plastic, because it's not as glossy. Another Huge Plus: It dries very, I say véry fast. I applied one layer.Very handy for people without patience like me.

 The color 330, Flower of Spring is a Deep Sparkly Red color. It has tiny red shimmers with semi-matte feeling to it. Apply more layers for a darker color!

Conclusion: It's very different then the average nail polishes like the ones from Rimmel or Essie. It's thinner, less glossy, dries very quick, and "plastic-like". Do I think Priti Polish is better then the mainstream nail polish brands? I think it's a tie. The Priti Polishes are great and they are only for €9 (9ml)! But very important thing is the brush. And I don't think the brush suits the quality of the nail polish. A bit disappointing, but if they change the brush I definitely prefer the Priti nail polishes.

Dutch summary: Priti NYC is een milieuvriendelijk merk dat eco nagellak verkoopt. Deze nagellakjes zullen dus niet schadelijk zijn voor het milieu. Veel beter dan merken als Essie en OPI toch? Dat vind ik niet. Vooral de omhulsel valt mij tegen. De inhoud is prima, droogt super snel, perfecte dekking en noem maar op! Maar het kwastje? Precies hetzelfde als die oude eigenmerk etos lakjes, maar dan met een fijne inhoud. Zonde! Ook is het gebruiken van het lettertype comic sans niet bepaald professioneel ogend. Conclusie: Eerst een betere omhulsel ontwikkelen en dan zal ik het op nummer 1 zetten van mijn nagellak favorieten. Kopen of niet kopen?
